Part 1: February 6 (prerequisite for day 2)
-The Road Map with a focus on Recognizing Hazards - identifying the different types of hazards we and our volunteers are exposed to.
-Homework to identify your specific hazards in your workplace.
Part 2: February 13
-Debrief and discuss findings of your hazards in the workplace.
-Bring your laptops to spend time completing the Employee/Volunteer Handbook (template provided)
Presenter: Debbie Glenn is a Regional Community Coordinator with Workplace Safety & Prevention Services. Her 20-year experience within the Health and Safety industry includes working with volunteers. Debbie is a former member of the Professional Association of Volunteer Leaders Ontario (PAVRO) Board of Directors. She connects with different communities to share the many simple safety solutions that WSPS has to offer. Debbie enjoys sharing her passion and experience, facilitating certification training and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Build your Own Health and Safety Program.
