Community Volunteer Award Walter Mulkewich Community Development Award
Cheers To Volunteers Award

Recognize a community volunteer from your organization who has made a significant contribution to the community. Four recipients, one from each local community (Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville) will be selected based on your submission on the VOLUNTEER’s IMPACT.

This award recognizes a COMMUNITY GROUP whose collective work has made a significant change in their community. One GROUP active in one of Halton communities will be selected based on your submission on the GROUP’s ACTIVITY IMPACT.

This initiative provides you with an opportunity to recognize the important contribution volunteers make to your organization. Twelve recipients, three from each of the four local communities (Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville) will be selected through a RANDOM DRAW.

Volunteers are on the front lines of all of our community services – community health care, heritage and arts, maintenance of green space, disaster relief, volunteer firefighting, minor sports – the list is endless.

Each year we dedicate a special time to honour citizens who volunteer their time and talents to worthy causes across our country, region and local community. Our theme for National Volunteer Week 2018 is the Value of Volunteering – Building CONFIDENCE, CONNECTIONS and COMMUNITY.

We want to acknowledge the incredible efforts of volunteers across Halton and say THANK YOU. National Volunteer Week is when we can all take time to recognize volunteers and celebrate the power of volunteerism in our community.
